I had a very hectic week but it didnt bother me much since next week's a break! yeah! well, its a much needed break anyway with all the work that has been flung at us.

The three/effours met together for break fast plus to mark the 2nd day of a five-day long birthday celebration for Kent. This is a very special year since its kent's Golden Birthday- turning twenty on the 20th. Kewl huh. Mine's gonna be like in 8 year's time? lol. Anyway, we had food at Beach road before heading to Geylang to meet legolas at his stall. It was a long walk to get more food before we stood in a circle and enjoyed our selasih-drinks and dendeng. Oh yah, we got kent a polo shirt from Fox, recommended by my new-found friend. hahaha.

The following day, i set off early from home to attend a book launch at National Library. The book 'Moral Vision and Social Critique' selected Essays of Syed Hussain Alatas. A highly influential public intellectual in Southeast Asia. He recently passed away, leaving his stand on morality still very strong in place today. His son, Farid Alatas, a lecturer in NUS was there to give a few words on his father's works. I feel so enlightened after the session hearing all about the critiques and worldview that were discussed in the book. After which, grabbed a few books as part of my research materials and then went off with ain to kassim mosque to help in the porridge distribution to the needy.

We focused on block 12,Bedok South were majority of the people come from lower-income group. My floor was the 8th and 9th floor with six people in a team. Thankfully we had, a guy who could speak chinese in the team. But i guess the interesting part was that the aunties&uncles were more comfortable speaking in malay. We got barked at, my friend who unknowingly, said 'assalamualaikum,assalamulaikum' to a house that had a christian symbol on the door, spilled porridges, us waiting for a veerrryy long time before they opened the door but overall a very nice experience.

rushed over to angah's place to break fast. KWB and my favourite cousin-- i am very biased about this. he went 'okay,okay!' when i told him to take a picture with me. damn cute la


he was sweating like mad after jumping up and down the stairs before deciding to play upstairs.

Sunday- We were slightly late for break fast to join the rest at Spize, Simpang Bedok since we were happily at Ikea till we lost track of the time. We had to wait almost half-an-hour for our food! Saw ika with her permed hair. Not bad i must say. After that we went to Geylang to buy some cushion covers for grandma. As usual, the human traffic was terrible, loud noises everywhere. and Guess what, no one in the family has bought a baju kurung yet. It is never easy looking for the right one. hah.Its family tradition to get it at the very last minute but we roughly know the colour scheme :)
