I quickly got dressed, hailed a cab and made my way to Tuas.

Sayangwoman (pun intended) rushed me for my receptionist job at TYCO flow control, a company at tuas specialising in valves. I bloody lurve that woman. She is so nice. Anyway, got there on time to receive a courier from fed-ex and some instructions on how to handle calls. And then i was off on my own.

Hahaha. It was my first time and this extremely long list of all the extensions was staring rite in front of me. So being me, i panicked. So when i picked up the first call i took like almost 3 mins just to press the rite extension. damn funnie. I could almost see my eyes rolling glancing through all the numbers at one go. After that it went pretty well, i was becoming more easy with it. I didnt noe that a receptionist can be like so busy coz i can get like three calls at one go. So gotta press the buttons like woosh woosh woosh. damn fast. wat was interesting was that there were like calls from all around the world, ppl from taiwan, india and those with the thick british accents.

Otherwise, when there werent any calls, I was busy trying to familarise myself with the list ( cause i screwed up a few calls ), reading the product sheets (apparently they sell butterfliy valves, level gauge and stuff like that-kewl), the god of small things and wasting the chop inks.. haha.

They were so many friendly staff. I have to say even the mail-man, courier men were all so bright, happy and friendly. I like. =)

And the fun pt was actually using the PA system. ! haha. I could hear my own voice around the whole building. This is when we have to page people to go to the warehouse for example. damn cute.

I definitely have to thank the nice man who bought me lunch. He even took the effort to ask me how it was and that whether he needed to buy me food again tmr. aww so sweet.

Great fun getting to know the Farah gurl. She is definitely one tough lady.

There was transport back so it was a nice journey back home. =)
Will be there again next fri.
